Why does Australia refuse to protect their designers?
Australia’s flawed intellectual property laws
So why does Australia provide Copyright laws and Intellectual property rights to artists and creative industries such as fine art, graphic design & photography yet leave product designers open to be copied?
Under the current IP laws unlike works referred to as fine art, design of objects and furniture is not entitled to copyright protection and are left vulnerable to copying. I have been one of many designers targeted by large companies ready to make money from unprotected designers here in Australia.

Australia’s retail landscape may play a major part in the decision to keep designers unprotected. Much of our retail in Australia is made up of replica’s. Stores like Kmart, Target, Freedom, Bunnings and Matt Blatt.

All these retailers hold an arsenal of replica rip-offs on their showroom floor so making it illegal will put these businesses in trouble. In fact, one of the biggest culprits is Westfarmers the conglomerate owning many of the offending companies employing 223,000 workers with a revenue of $68.44 Billion (2017) it’s no wonder the cries of the small Australian designers aren’t being heard. With figures like this creating change which will affect many of these company’s bottom dollar just adds to the friction in the uphill battle the Australia design industry faces.

The new cryptocurrency hype was everywhere: flashy social media posts, celebrity endorsements, and influencers promising life-changing returns. Caught up in the frenzy, I invested $320,000 in a new cryptocurrency coin, convinced I was getting in early on the next big thing. The coin’s value surged at first, just as the promoters predicted, but then came the devastating crash. The moment it peaked, the orchestrators dumped their holdings, leaving investors like me with worthless tokens and staggering losses. Determined to reclaim my investment, I began researching options for recovery. That’s when I discovered Passcode Cyber Recovery, a firm specializing in crypto fraud investigations. Their reputation for successfully tracing fraudulent transactions and recovering lost funds caught my attention. I reached out to them, hoping they could help me navigate the complex world of cryptocurrency fraud. The team at Passcode Cyber Recovery was quick to respond. They assigned a group of skilled blockchain analysts to my case, who immediately began the painstaking process of analyzing the blockchain data associated with the fraudulent new cryptocurrency coin. Using advanced forensic tools, they traced the flow of funds, identifying the wallets that had been used to manipulate the market. This meticulous work was crucial, as it laid the groundwork for building a solid case against the fraudsters. As the investigation unfolded, the analysts gathered critical evidence, documenting the transaction histories and identifying the individuals behind the scheme. Their expertise in blockchain technology allowed them to uncover the tactics used by the orchestrators to lure unsuspecting investors like myself. With this information in hand, Passcode Cyber Recovery collaborated with law enforcement agencies to present a compelling case. The turning point came when law enforcement acted on the evidence provided by Passcode Cyber Recovery. They were able to freeze the accounts associated with the fraudulent wallets, preventing the perpetrators from cashing out their ill-gotten gains. This decisive action was a significant step toward recovering my funds. Through the relentless efforts of Passcode Cyber Recovery and the cooperation of law enforcement, I was able to recover my entire $320,000 investment. I emerged from this ordeal not only with all my funds back but also with a greater awareness of the risks associated with investing in unregulated markets.

Company Review: Cloudstrike Cyber Services
Losing £250,000 to a Bitcoin investment scam was something I never imagined could happen to me — until it did. Like many others, I fell victim to a scheme that seemed too good to be true. I came across an advertisement on Facebook promising exceptionally high returns on cryptocurrency investments. Initially, everything appeared legitimate. The platform looked professional, deposits were processed smoothly, and I received convincing updates on my “growing” investment.
However, things took a dark turn when I attempted to withdraw my funds. Every withdrawal failed, and repeated contact with customer service led nowhere. That was when the reality sank in — I had been scammed. The emotional toll was immense; I had lost what felt like a lifetime’s worth of hard work.
Devastated, I confided in a close friend who recommended Cloudstrike Cyber Services— a company known for its professionalism and expertise in cybercrime recovery. Skeptical but desperate, I reached out to them. To my surprise, their team was not only responsive but deeply knowledgeable and reassuring throughout the process.
Through their efforts, Cloudstrike was able to recover £238,000of the stolen funds. While I didn’t recover the full amount, I was incredibly grateful and relieved to reclaim the majority of what I had lost. Their transparency, ethical approach, and relentless work truly made a difference during one of the darkest moments of my life.

They gave me hope when I thought all was lost.
It was a quiet Tuesday morning. I logged into my Bitcoin wallet like I had a hundred times before, expecting to check balances and plan trades. But instead of numbers, I saw a void — a zero balance staring back at me like a cruel joke.
I blinked. Refreshed. Checked again. Still empty. Over $3,000,000…gone. Just like that. The air seemed to thicken around me. My heart raced. For a moment, I thought it was a glitch. But the harsh truth set in quickly: I had been hacked.
The realization was crushing. This wasn’t just money. It was years of savings, strategic investments, and early adoption that I had poured my soul into. And now it had vanished in the blink of an eye, swept away like dust in the wind.
I contacted my wallet provider. No help. Filed reports. Got silence. Every road led to a dead end. The blockchain — as transparent as it is — offers little mercy when it comes to reversing a malicious transaction.
Days passed in a haze. Sleep eluded me. The thought that I had lost everything was like a weight I couldn’t shake.
But just when despair threatened to become permanent, I stumbled on an article — a digital forensics firm had helped a tech entrepreneur recover his stolen crypto. At first, I was skeptical. There are too many scams promising hope only to exploit vulnerability. But something about the way they operated, their transparency and technical insights, gave me pause.
They were called SPYHOST — a digital assets recovery group that specialized in crypto theft investigation and blockchain tracing. I sent a cautious email to: Spyhost@cyberdude.com.
Within hours, I got a response. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary.
They assigned a recovery specialist to my case. The team dissected the movement of my stolen BTC across the blockchain, mapping the laundering patterns through mixers, identifying exchange addresses, and even liaising with enforcement and security contacts when necessary.
It felt like watching digital detectives at work — forensic, methodical, relentless.
And then, ten days later, came the email that brought me to tears:
“We’ve traced the stolen funds to cold wallets linked to a known laundering syndicate. Action has been taken. Check your wallet.”
I logged in, my hands trembling. The familiar figure was back. My $3 million was restored.
To this day, I still can’t quite put into words the mix of disbelief, gratitude, and awe I felt. I had prepared to move on with my life with nothing. Instead, I got everything back.
So if you’re reading this and facing a similar nightmare, know this: there is hope. Blockchain may be unforgiving, but the right expertise can turn the tide.
Reach out to the team that helped me. You can contact them via email: Spyhost@cyberdude.com. They didn’t just recover my assets — they helped me reclaim my peace of mind.
