Why does Australia refuse to protect their designers?
Australia’s flawed intellectual property laws
So why does Australia provide Copyright laws and Intellectual property rights to artists and creative industries such as fine art, graphic design & photography yet leave product designers open to be copied?
Under the current IP laws unlike works referred to as fine art, design of objects and furniture is not entitled to copyright protection and are left vulnerable to copying. I have been one of many designers targeted by large companies ready to make money from unprotected designers here in Australia.
Australia’s retail landscape may play a major part in the decision to keep designers unprotected. Much of our retail in Australia is made up of replica’s. Stores like Kmart, Target, Freedom, Bunnings and Matt Blatt.
All these retailers hold an arsenal of replica rip-offs on their showroom floor so making it illegal will put these businesses in trouble. In fact, one of the biggest culprits is Westfarmers the conglomerate owning many of the offending companies employing 223,000 workers with a revenue of $68.44 Billion (2017) it’s no wonder the cries of the small Australian designers aren’t being heard. With figures like this creating change which will affect many of these company’s bottom dollar just adds to the friction in the uphill battle the Australia design industry faces.

NEED HELP RECOVERING LOST CRYPTO ASSETS/BYTEPHANTOM CYBER RECOVERY: In early 2022, I fell victim to what I thought was a legitimate cryptocurrency investment opportunity. I had been approached through social media by someone claiming to be a financial advisor. They introduced me to a professional-looking website that promised modest but steady returns. Everything appeared legitimate—there were live charts, customer support chats, and even small withdrawal options at first. Encouraged by what I saw, I gradually invested more over a couple of months. In total, I had transferred just over $105,000 worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum. It was only when I tried to make a larger withdrawal that the truth hit me. My account was suddenly “under review,” support stopped responding, and within days, the entire site disappeared. My funds were gone. I reported the case to the local authorities and my crypto exchange, but both told me there was little they could do. The sinking feeling of knowing I had trusted the wrong people was overwhelming. For weeks, I replayed every decision I had made, wondering how I could have missed the signs. It was during my search for answers that I came across BytePhantom Cyber Recovery. I wasn’t looking for promises, just someone who could help me understand what happened and possibly trace where my funds had gone. They reviewed my case without pressuring me, asking for transaction histories, wallet addresses, and details about the fake platform. Over the following weeks, they traced the path of my funds through multiple wallets and exchanges. I received regular updates on their findings, which helped me at least feel like progress was being made. To my surprise, they were able to recover a portion of my crypto—about 75% of the total amount—that had been moved into accounts flagged for suspicious activity. While I didn’t get back everything I lost, the partial recovery felt like a huge relief compared to what I expected. More importantly, I learned to recognize the red flags I had ignored before—such as unrealistic returns, lack of regulatory information, and withdrawal restrictions. The experience was painful, but having someone take my case seriously and work toward a real result made a big difference. I share this so others know that while recovery isn’t always guaranteed, there can still be a path forward after a scam.

I never imagined that I could lose everything with just one click. What started as a promising opportunity turned into a nightmare that nearly cost me my life savings. It all started when I stumbled upon a seemingly legitimate online cryptocurrency exchange. The site had beautiful graphics, real-time charts, user reviews, and a seemingly regulated environment. Over the course of a few months, I invested heavily and ultimately entrusted them with $1 million worth of Bitcoin. However, red flags appeared, and withdrawal requests were waiting for days. Support tickets were ignored. When I finally got a chat, they just gave scripted responses, always pushing me to upgrade or re-verify. I knew deep down that I had been scammed. My heart sank. Bitcoin represents years of hard work, investment, and savings. Desperate and exhausted, I searched the internet for various methods to recover my Bitcoin. Most of them felt like scams targeting victims like me. Just when I was about to give up, I came across Dexdert Net Pro Recovery. At first, I was skeptical. Their website was simple and straightforward, and they didn’t promise miracles, just real online recovery services. What really caught my attention was their transparency, testimonials from verifiable sources, and a professional, non-aggressive consultation process. From the beginning, their team was reassuring yet pragmatic. They explained that while cryptocurrency recovery is complex, solutions can be found with the right blockchain forensics and legal strategies. They analyzed my transaction history, tracked the fraudulent wallet, and mapped the flow of funds to multiple addresses within a week. What amazed me most was their ability to work with cryptocurrency exchanges and compliance teams around the world. Not only did they track the funds, they filed formal reports, utilized legal channels, and used technical expertise to freeze wallets when necessary. After weeks of updates, electronic document processing, and legal consultations, I received a message I never thought I would hear: “We successfully recovered your Bitcoin!” I stared at the screen, speechless. I had recovered almost every satoshi in my wallet, Dexdert Net Pro Recovery not only helped me recover my assets, but also restored my faith in justice, technology, and made me believe that even if I was scammed, it is not all hopeless. If you have been a victim of an online scam, don’t be silent and don’t give up. Dexdert Net Pro Recovery is the real deal and they changed my life.
